Snow melting

Well the snow is melting but the garden is still pretty much covered. The hens have been having their usual daily rations of organic layers pellets supplemented with plenty of boiled vegetable peelings served warm with ground oyster shell. They are still laying around 4 or 5 eggs a day and today I got 7 which is a real triumph with so little sun and very cold temperatures.
Hopefully I will get to spend a couple of hours out there tomorrow and also take some photographs.
